3rd Library InfoLit Race Challenge (Virtual)

3rd Library InfoLit Race Challenge (Virtual)

With the advent of online and distance learning, libraries remain at the forefront of providing access to information. Online access to a wide variety of information poses threats and risks to novice online users. In this regard, librarians instruct patrons on how to critically evaluate the use and dissemination of such information. It is the main duty of librarians to transfer Information Literacy (IL) competencies to future professionals and scholars. The Third Library InfoLit Race Challenge continues its advocacy to develop the students' IL skills through problem-based learning. As NU goes virtually online this semester, the third IL race will be conducted online.

In order to become information literate, students who will join this competition will be able to:

  1. Deeply understand how to find reliable and authoritative information;

  2. Explore and expand their knowledge on different scholarly materials found in the library;

  3. Become responsible researchers and lifelong-learners by understanding various tools for research.

Register now for a chance to win exciting prizes.

  • The contest is open to all NU students.

  • This year, it will be an individual virtual game.

  • There will be assigned tasks and challenges during the virtual race. Each completed challenge will earn a clue for the next task. It is important to keep track of all the clues and tasks.

  • The fastest person to finish all the challenges / completed tasks will be declared the champion.
