[MIL Week 2021] Making Wikipedia Reliable!

[MIL Week 2021] Making Wikipedia Reliable!

“Wikipedia is not a reliable source.” While some studies might agree with this statement due to its public editing feature, there are also some studies that confirm the reliability of Wikipedia. Whatever the case may be, Wikipedia has been a widely used and consulted source of information and entries should always have a proper citation and referencing.

The NU Library invites students to create and contribute to the Wikipedia entry about Kazakhstan within the Media Information Literacy Initiatives framework and with the aim of instilling the value of finding, evaluating, and citing sources. Students should make sure that all the contributed articles and information be cited and referenced properly.

All registered participants are welcome to join us at the kickoff event.
