[MIL Week 2024] InfoLitRace
Are you ready for an exciting intellectual challenge? We are pleased to invite all to the 7th InfoLitRace 2024 which aims to challenge your information literacy and critical thinking skills in the realm of digital spaces.
In celebration of the Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2024, this event will focus developing new initiatives and reinforce existing ones to advance media and information literacy in digital spaces.
Key Information
- Date: October 31, 2023 | (4-5PM)
- Duration: 30 minutes to 1 hour
- Stations: 5-6 interactive stations
- Groups: 3-5 participants per group
Objectives
- Deeply understand how to find reliable and authoritative information;
- Expand the knowledge by exploring diverse scholarly materials found in the library; and
- Develop information literacy and critical thinking skills to be responsible researchers and lifelong learners through various research tools.
Mechanics
- The race is open to all NU students, faculty, and staff.
- Form a group of 3-5 team members.
- Engage in a series of tasks and challenges during the race.
- Each completed challenge will earn your team a clue for the next task.
- Keep track of your clues and tasks, as the fastest group to complete all challenges will be declared the champion.
