Academic Publishing Support and Research Integrity: Module 3
This course is specifically designed for a newly established NURA to support researchers, grant administrators, and academic staff in managing the award operations, research dissemination, and ethical publication practices.
This module teaches researchers how to select the best journal for their work by exploring essential strategies and tools. Topics include using Scopus, Web of Science, SciVal, InCites, SJR, and JCR to assess journal quality, as well as understanding relevant metrics and journal alignment with your research. Participants will also learn about different types of articles, the peer-review process, and how to navigate author guidelines and submission steps. The course also covers Kazakh journals indexed in WoS and Scopus and highlights Research Data Management (RDM) requirements. By the end, you’ll be equipped to make informed decisions and successfully publish your research.
