[SSH] Information Literacy Module 2-3: Searching & Evaluating Information (Intermediate)
This session is organized for the WCS150 (10L): Rhetoric and Composition class of Adam Hefty.
At the end of the session, the students are expected to:.
- Understand different types of information and when to use them;
- Identify where to find scientific information;
- Apply literature search strategies and keyword building;
- Manage and explore the library portal and databases and understand subject-specific databases.
- Understand the importance of evaluating information sources;
- Apply various evaluation methods;
- Determine scholarly sources including statistical data as relevant results for your research.
