The School of Sciences and Humanities at Nazarbayev University, in collaboration with the NU Library, invites you to the presentation of the book After January: Kazakhstan's Journey Through Identity and Geopolitics by Nygmet Ibadildin, Dinara Pisareva, and Nurmakhan Tastaibek.
About the Book:
This book examines how Kazakhstan has navigated questions of national identity and geopolitical alignment in the wake of the January 2022 protests and the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. Initially conceived as a study of the Soviet legacy in Kazakhstan, the project evolved to address the country’s rapidly changing internal politics and shifting regional role. The book offers timely insights into how these developments have reshaped Kazakhstan’s domestic discourse and international positioning.About the Authors:
